2-1/2 years later and still the best health decision I've ever made! *
  • Name: Taylor Tenney

  • Surgeon: Dr. Mario Almanza
I intentionally waited for a long time (2-1/2 yrs) before doing any testimonial, because everyone knows you will lose wait, but what were the long term effects and or complications going to be like? That's what I wanted to know.
Well, I'm here to tell you that for me it is lower BP, no sleep apnea, less pain in my joints and yes, I'm better looking and feeling great. What I've also realized is that if you're not careful, you can build up a lot of loose fat if you continue to eat or drink high-sugars after surgery, so be committed to less sugar intake and you'll do just fine.

Last - my experience with Dr. Mario Almanza at the Grand View Hospital, could not have gone any better. From the moment they picked me up at the San Diego airport to when they dropped me off was nothing but a pleasurable and professional experience. They had me up and walking within an hour of my surgery and keep me under excellent around-the-clock care. The staff was fantastic and were always kind.

My advice if you are planning to go forward with the Gastric Sleeve procedure, then go in, not as a victim or poor me, but with a positive attitude, knowing that you are about to change your life for the better and for the rest of your life. So do all you can to keep your spirits up and to build up other that will be there and who are just as worried or scared as you. I made a lot of friends while I was there and we all had a better experience, because none of us would let our fear overtake our commitment to change our lives for the better.

Good luck to whomever is reading my testimony. You got this!
