Boy has my life changed since my gastric sleeve surgery!! I have lost from 232lbs to 151 lbs. I was diabetic, taking metformin pills plus insulin shots but guess what NO MORE!!!! Yeah me!! I also have Hep C. Before my surgery, I had no energy, high blood pressure, fatty liver and just not in good health. But ....since my life changing surgery I have gone from being disabled, staying at home, to working!! I have gone back to truck driving school, ( I used to drive with my husband 7 years ago) and now I am back on the road again..YES Me...before I couldn't pass the physical to get qualified but look at me now!!! I can walk longer distances, I can stay up and alert longer,(before all I wanted to do is sleep). I can wear skinny clothes something I have never done. I love to go shopping now!!! The best decision I ever made was when I decided to go to Mexico for this surgery. I would do it again in a heart beat. Dr. Almanza saved my life!!!!!I would love to go back just to hug him and thank him for my new life.I am not saying it was easy, nothing is in life, but it was well worth it to me to go through this. So please anyone reading this that is considering having the gastric sleeve, all I can say is GO FOR IT!!!!!!You will have a new body, a new perspective on life, a new way of life and just a new person, mind, body and soul. Discover who you are meant to be. I did and I love my new life..Again Thank You Dr. Almanza and all your wonderful staff at Jerusalem Hospital.
