Well, I looked up some information on Wednesday night and booked everything thursday morning. I flew from Alaska on Sunday and arrived in San Diego on Monday, Sept 8th. I was picked up at the airport and went through the border and into the hospital. The staff was very nice and the hospital was very clean. I had my surgery a few hours later. I was very nervous. The hospital staff took care of me throughout the night and must say they do hire the finest nurses. Tuesday morning got sent to the hotel and had a room by myself. The hotel staff and the hospital staff at the hotel were great. They took care of me. I went for some walks throughout the day just to make time pass. Watching tv is good but getting out and about is good too. Wednesday went to get xrays and you had to drink some awful stuff but it only lasts a bit, recommend drinking water afterwards. Went back to the hotel and went shopping for a bit. You need to bargain with these people. Dont take the first offer. They will negotiate with you. Went back to the hotel and talk to hospital staff and said everything was good with xrays. Now I am waiting for my last IV and so they can remove my valve from my stomach. Leaving on Thursday to get back home and to start my new life style change. It will be hard at first but for the last 6 days I have been drinking broth and eating popsicles and jello. I also am drinking water and apple juice. Cant wait to see in a month how much weight I have dropped. I am only needing to lose about 60-70 lbs but if I can lose more that will help. My only concern is how much loose skin I will have but I am still young so hopefully I can start working out after the 2 months and get fit. The reason I am doing this surgery was because I am in the military and always had problems with my weight. I have a waist measurement I can never pass so this was my only choice. So if you are in the military and need a waist adjustment, I would recommend it. Plus the price is only $4500 for everything except airfare. I used my miles and it still only cost me $25.00. I will post pictures and results once I see them. Any questions, feel free to respond. I told a friend about it and she has already booked her surgery for Oct 10. I told her she will not be disappointed. Thank you for everything the hospital and hotel staff did while I was here. I will recommend to everything who is trying to lose weight. Take care and God Bless.
