With that being said the only one change I could of ask for is some kind of "What to expect" pamphlet when you arrive in your room. Not knowing when or what your doing is overwhelming at that moment.
I have been fortunate that I have not required any pain medication since rolling out of surgery. Once we talked to the doctors we settled right in. It is a very comfortable atmosphere and even the other patients were great to talk with and compare experiences with. I am 17 days out of surgery and just started trying different textures of food. I have lost 65 lbs to date (most of that was pre-surgery diet).
Advice to anyone going in for this treatment would be, follow the pre-diet. Walk as soon as you can after surgery. Stay positive and remember this is a mind game also. You are in control of what happens in the future. There will be mood swings, disappointments and delays. Stay content with yourself as you travel this new road.The pictures below are my pre-op at 419 lbs. Will update as soon as possible.
