My Journey started about a year before I had surgery. I thought I had done endless research on all the things that were going to happen. The good, bad and ugly. But I certainly didn't get a lot of information although I don't think it would have mattered.

First the surgery went well, there were communication barriers that were hard to overcome. I should have learned more Spanish, although I think it was more a barrier to me because the other women who were in the room were Spanish speakers and so I think the nurses forgot that they had not talk to me.

I had surgery on August 29, 2017 and in 6 months have lost 75 lbs. The Good I do feel better.

I've struggled with diet until I went to a nutritionist. They inform you what to eat for the first six weeks then your on your own. The Bad. But in all fairness it was advised to see a nutritionist.

Since my surgery I have had pseudogout which has taken 4 month to diagnosis instead of gout. I'm still searching for answers and to what to do now. The Ugly

This is not an easy journey but one I'm still glad I have taken. The cost was amazing and it would have cost do much more in the United States.
