From the moment I started this process Dr Almanza and his team at the Weight Agents have been nothing but supportive, encouraging and communicative. The process leading up to the surgery was so well planned and executed I never questioned what I was supposed to do and even if I did all I had to do is send a text and I always got response within a few hours. Due to COVID 19 some things had to be adjusted but the hospital worked quickly to accommodate patients and guests. Once I arrived at the hospital I was amazed at how clean the facility was and how nice the nurses were. There is a language barrier If you are not Spanish speaking but a translate app will fix that easily. The day of the surgery Dr Almanza came to give us a pep talk and encourage us about the decision we had made to improve the quality of our lives. Hearing him speak was very comforting. After the surgery we were moved to the hotel side. This was the most difficult part of the surgery because the beds are not hospital beds which makes it difficult for getting in and out. I would recommend requesting a hospital bed for the entire time you are at the facility. Fortunately the staff was able to find me an extra room with a hospital bed. This greatly aided in my recovery. When it was time to leave the process of entering back into the US was seamless. They truly have this down to an art and are continually improving The process. I am home now and 3 days post op. I feel very little pain and I look forward to the new life that awaits. Thank you Dr Almanza and your amazing team.
