I had all the same fears everyone else listed in many other testimonials I've read, especially going to Mexico for surgery. But I have to say- the whole process was very streamlined. Very nice nurses, and most spoke English. Dr. Almanza was very professional and I had confidence that he would do a good job. I agree with other testimonials in that it's "no frills". They just get you checked in, do diagnostic work, then you go back and get surgery. Walking into the operating room was a little weird. But the after care was very good. And since you will likely be with other people for the process- that really helps. It's very reassuring and helpful to have comrades.

Tips if you are going to get it done: Make sure to walk A LOT after the surgery (yes that first night when you're still in the hospital). It really helps. And do follow all the before & after instructions they provide. It's been 30 days and I've lost 30 pounds. You really cannot eat a lot after the surgery so if you're like me and "just want to cheat a little", you really cannot. If you are looking for advice here- GO FOR IT!
