the staff were helpful and pleasant. At both the hospital and the recovery house. The hospital isn't like a hospital in the states. But it was clean. only complaint I had about the hospital was the bed I had, mattress was old and lumpy. it was suppose to be electric bed and it didn't work. The recovery house was clean and comfortable. there was always soup ready for patients. Only complaint with the recovery house was it was too full. they had to buy a bed for me to sleep in. And even tho they said there would be a place for my husband, there wasn't, he had to sleep on the couch. They took us shopping, that was nice. I would say if your insurance denies you coverage or you don't have insurance, which I don't have. Then this is a good alternative and much less expensive than the states. I did not have any kind of complications after my surgery. My hope is to loose another 60 lbs and then have the plastic surgeries required to make my body look better and for my mind to feel better.
Response: 1/25/13 Thank you for your testimonial. We just want to mention, it's been a while since you had your surgery, and things have changed. We no longer utilize the recovery house due to the very complaint you had, it was overcrowded if too many people brought expected or, at times, unexpected guests. Patients now stay at Hotel Ticuan, a wonderful hotel in the heart of downtown and the feedback since has been overwhelmingly positive.
