I recieved the Gastric sleeve surgery on May 15th 2013 at Jerusalem Hospital.

My experience there was amazing, it went far better than expected. My sister came along as my support and medical advisor (she is a Firefighter/EMT)

I had 3 plans in place, 1) go with the flow as written 2) cash, CC and an exit plan to get back into the US 3)a phone number for a service that would come into Mexico and rescue me. All of this preparation was done out of fear and the unknown of having a major surgery done in Tijuana, Mexico. Lets face it, a lot of negative impressions are present among Amaericans about travel into Mexico, especially now.

I can now say without question, I was mistaken, my fear was based in media reports. My trip to Jerusalem Hospital was outstanding.

With regards to the surgery, it went smoothly and I was made to feel very comfortable. the staff explained everything that was going to happen step by step. The after care at the hotel was very good as well.

My life has changed considerably since the surgery in many ways. My health has improved since losin 50 plus pounds. I have gotten past the rapid weight loss and am now in a more measured slower reduction. The other biggest life changing event has been the loss of importance of eating and eating for any reason. I now eat as needed in much smaller amounts. It has brought to light just how much a fat persons life revolves aroung eating.

I highly recommend this to anyone.
