I cancelled my surgery. Twice. I was so scared to fly to San diego, drive across the border, and have major surgery in another country with a dr I have never met. However, I knew I needed to. With several small children at home, I was terrified about my ever increasing weight. Several failed diet attempts, and even a failed lap band experience.

Topping out at 325, I flew down for surgery. The hotel was great, but right in the middle of Tijuana. Tijuana was a shocking experience for me.

We fell asleep that night and woke early to have our blood drawn and check with the cardiologist. There we paid for surgery.

My blood pressure was so high we had to wait and take it twice again! I was soooo scared! What if I do this and I fail again?

My stay in the hospital was an extra night because my lap band had disinigrated and my stomach was trying to close at the top. The nurses were so sweet to me and helped me through my fears and worries. It was a precaution more than anything.

It's been three months since surgery (today is sept 30th) and I have lost 60 pounds so far. I can't begin to tell you how this has changed my life. I'm a girl again. I like nail polish and make up, dresses, and tight pants. I am now 260 pounds and I am still losing about 3-4 pounds a week.

There is no way of cheating with the sleeve. You really just aren't hungry! If anything I have to be really careful to make sure I care enough, or remember to eat. I went from 100% obsessed with food, to getting in trouble with my husband because it's 8pm and I realized I forgot to eat. Protein first! You will never regret this!
