I have only just begun this journey. After fighting with the yo-yo and using diet pills (which made me reclusive and had some other adverse side effects which I will not get into) and after realizing that without these pills I could not control my food consumption I knew I needed something more. I have 4 personal friends that had been to see Dr. A and everyone was super happy. After seeing the scale tip 225 once again I finally decided that being sleeved was my next attempt at losing the weight and keeping it off for good. I was sleeved on 5/10/18.
I was totally impressed with the agents who answered every question, sat with me on a chat window for hours if that's what it took and personally contacted me regularly to check up on me. They set up my transportation to and from the hospital and took every worry off of me.
At the hospital there is a very attentive staff that have probably come across every question that could possibly be asked since approximately 8-10 patients are sleeved daily. I watched these nurses stay calm, cool and collected even when some of the rudest patients got agitated. And considering they are bi-lingual I was very impressed when then understood every concern that was presented to them.
I only saw Dr. A the morning of surgery and I'll never forget his on liner of reassurance..."My English is not so good but my hands are!!" He did take the time to explain the surgery and answer any questions that were asked.
I'd say the only complaint that I had is that the nurses need to be a little more schooled on finding veins for the IV's.
And my suggestion to anyone that goes - bring the most comfy sweats, loose top, and a hoodie - you will need nothing else.
