My experience with Dr. Almanza and his staff was amazing. Everyone was so helpful and nice. The hospital was very clean and the nurses at the hotel were amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I think about one of the nurses often and wonder how she is. Maybe one day I will go back to visit.
Since surgery I have gotten my life back. So far I am down to 194 pounds and have gone from 26 to size 12. I have gone from a 3 or 4x to a size medium or large shirt. I love exercising and have recently started jogging. I love healthy foods and finally have a healthy relationship with food. I only use it to fuel my body. My goal is 150 pounds and then I will be getting some skin removed. My husband has a brand new wife because he has never seen me this small and my kids get a mom that is active and plays with them more.
Some of my favorite things about being smaller include fitting better in an airplane seat, shopping in the regular section of clothing stores, and wearing dresses.
