I had my gastric sleeve surgery in Tijuana Mexico with Dr. Mario Almanza on October 9, 2012 it was the best decision I ever made besides marrying my husband! I was tired of fighting my weight and it creeping up every month. I did educate myself on what the facility looked like so I would not be culture shocked when I got there, I also read a bunch of testimonials and was very leery of any that sounded too good to be true, after all you are getting what you payed for. For example the hospital is in a shopping strip nestled between office depot and a mattress co. The beds and rooms look very old and not in a good way But the equipment and computers look the same as here and thats what was important to me. Once you are moved to hotel Ticjaun everything is beautiful and the nurse is attentive. Bottom line I wish I would have done this so much sooner, I am very happy with my results and where I got my sleeve surgery done. I wasn't as big as some people so my weight loss was slower then others. I had my surgery done in mexico because of two main reasons, one the $$ issue and two I was underweight to have this surgery done in the U.S. my starting weight was 180 lbs. Wearing a size 16/18 and 9 months later my weight is 129 lbs. And wearing a size 4/6. Loving my life!!! My sister asked my husband if it was worth it in his eyes and he was life oh for sure!!! Loveing my life!!!
