Being heavy all my life I decided that enough was enough. I am young and I wanted to wear nice fitting young outfits instead of going to the "old people" sections. Being big your options for clothes become selective. Weighting 336 prior to my surgery and now one month after surgery weighting 290lbs, I feel GREAT! It wasn't easy following the post op diet weekly, right away I wanted to eat pizza, chips, cookies and Baked Mac and cheese again and even now I get frustrated due to not being able to eat all my food. Going out to eat is a waste! I am guaranteed to have a "to go" bag. I only took 2 weeks off of work, but I was ready to go back as soon as I returned from Mexico. No one at work was aware of this life change that I decided and boy can they tell the difference. Just the other day someone told me I need to buy me some clothes that fit due to my clothes falling off my body! Even though my family told me not to do this surgery, this surgery was less painful than my C-section in 2013 with my son, and I am finally happy and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I did not tell my PCP before I went, but when I came back I notified him and he is also happy I made this decision. I am currently off all my medications prescribed to me for Hypertension and Diabetes, I have not started to workout as of yet but starting July 1, 2016 I will be working on toning some things up and losing even more weight.
