I have been fighting with my weight for 26 years.
That's a very long time to be over weight, unhappy and depressed. I tried a lot the diets and lost a few pounds here and there. I always regained the weight.
After awhile I came to a point where I was just ready to give up.
I have had three knee surgeries, I have arthritis in my ankles along with high blood pressure. It was time to try something else.
Making a descision to travel hundreds of miles to have my surgery was not an easy decision to make. I did it with no regrets.
I am, at this point only 16 days out from my surgery date. I have found that I look at food so differently already. With it being the holidays, there is sooo much yummy food to eat. I have sat at the dinner table with family members during a big meal and realized how much food I used to consume. Watching others fill their plate to full and then some makes me feel very good about my descision to have the surgery. I never realized how much food I was eating.
Its hard to even think about eating so much food at one meal.
I have to honestly say, I do not crave the sweet foods like I did before the surgery. I eat several times a day,but I am eating very small portions. I take vitiams and eat protein bars to keep myself healthy. I am looking forward to being a smaller healthier me.
So far so good..... I have lost 10 lbs.....Yeah :)
