Family & Friends,
This is the health update for 9 months out from the 09/11/2014 Gastric Sleeve surgery.
I lowered my initial target weight from 192 to 180. I am currently at 182, so I am essentially at my target (normal) weight. I carried this 180 lb size for ~10 years in my early adulthood.
Summary:
My weight has gone ftom 317 lbs to 182 lbs (lost 135 lbs).
My neck has gone from 20" to 17" (lost 3").
My chest has gone from 54" to 44" (lost 10").
My waist has gone from 50" to 34" (lost 16").
I highly recommend this 45 minute gastric sleeve surgical procedure. This cost $4.5K through WeightLossAgents.com. Sleeve Gastroectomy is the most effective of the four generations of bariatric surgery and requires no continuing prescription medications or restricted diets.
Our patriarch, Dom, Sr, lost a similar amount of weight at approximately the same age. Let's intend that I'm able to maintain my health and vitality into my 80's like he did.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement as I upgrade my health into my retirement years.
Be well,
Dom Lovallo
Family & Friends,
On the health front, I'm well. At age 62, I've shed 108 lbs in the 6 months since the gastric sleeve 45 min. procedure. I have ~17 lbs to go to my target weight.
The co-morbidities of high body-mass index, adult-onset diabetes and sleep apnea are in the past.
For my other two co-morbidities, they continue to be successfully controlled by blood pressure medication and cholesterol medication.
For the cholesterol area, I had a successful annual checkup earlier this month with my cardiologist. I'm scheduled for my next annual check-up a year from now.
For the blood pressure area, my prescription medication dose has been cut in half. I'm scheduled for a 6 month checkup with my general practitioner in 08/15.
I've started a prescription medication of Ferrous Sulfate, as my blood iron is in the low end of the normal range. This is sometimes a precaution after gastric sleeve surgery.
I'm also taking normal nutritional supplements:
Multiple Vitamin
Vitamin B12
Vitamin D3
Krill Oil (Omega 3 fatty acid)
Thank you all for your support and empowerment as I strengthen my health pillar.
Be well,
Dom Lovallo
